and DVR

This program provides opportunities for developmentally disabled adults to begin working as productive members of the community. Our Agency offers a number of different approaches to assisting individuals with disabilities in achieving their dream of employment. Components of this process include finding, developing, and adapting individual's jobs. We then match the individuals with disibility-abilities and interests to the most appropriate job. We provide ongoing job coaching and training assistance to the individual to ensure successful work opportunities. Follow up services ensure that the quality of work remains and that individuals are assisted in adapting to changing work requirements.

DVR clients are referred for services by the Washington State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation!

Community Jobs and

Community Works programs

Community Jobs Program is a WORKFIRST program. It provides temporary community-based work and skill building experience to individuals who are on a TANF grant(Temporary Assistance to Needy Families). Participants who have experienced barriers in entering the regular job market are given the opportunity to work while continuing on public assistance. Their TANF checks are converted to a wage and they are paid for the work that they do. The goal of this program is to lead to permanent jobs, and eliminate the need for assistance. Program enrollment is done by DSHS.

The Job Access Return Commute (JARC)

The Job Access Return Commute (JARC) project allows the development of a small dial-a-ride system to move low-income TANF people or special needs people of Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties to work related sites, either by connecting the rider with current available transit routes or by direct transport to the rider's destination. The work-related sites include but are not limited to, job sites, day care centers, job training or job interviews. It will also allow clients access to the destinations during the off hours of Pacific Transit or Grays Harbor Transit.
