Senior
Nutrition Program & Meals on Wheels!
The
Senior Nutrition Program consists of both "hot lunches"
served at our senior centers and Home-Delivered "Meals
on Wheels". We assist seniors (60+) to remain healthy
and independent in their communities through good nutrition.
Hot meals are served five days a week at senior centers
in Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Elma, Raymond and Ilwaco. Nutritious
frozen meals are delivered to clients who cannot get
in to the senior centers.
The
Senior Nutrition Program, including Meals on Wheels,
is only possible through the help of volunteers and
private donations. Volunteers are needed in both Grays
Harbor and Pacific Counties to serve meals, deliver
meals and plan fundraising activities.
If
you would like to make a donation or volunteer your
services to this valuable local program, please call
the Aberdeen Senior Center for more information 360-500-4541.

Senior
Peer Counselors
The
Senior Peer Counseling Program is designed to assist
seniors through a natural life crisis. A life crisis
could be anything from having trouble moving through
the grieving process after the loss of a loved one or
pet, dealing with illness, change of residence, or other
major life changes.
Senior
Peer Counselors can help clients find new support systems,
solve their own problems and assist participants in
finding new places to live.
Peer
Counselors don't do In-Home Care services or housework.
They are not a Senior Companion, a moving company, or
a transportation service.
If
you or a friend could use the help of a Senior Peer
Counselor, please call RSVP at 360-532-4900. This service
is available in both Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.
